Our Journey

From a small working group to a national platform driving India’s LPG sector forward..

2002

The Beginning

The first working group meeting of industry stakeholders was held in December 2002 to discuss the future of Indian Auto LPG.

2005

The Foundation

In March 2005, the platform was incorporated as a non-profit trust with the vision to promote, support and advance the LPG industry in India.

Present

Growing Stronger Together

Over the years the coalition now incorporated as ILPGA to cover the full value chain of LPG in the country.

Industry Engagement & Collaboration

Active engagement with key government bodies, regulators and industry chambers to shape policies, standards and a stronger ecosystem.

Government Engagement

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) and its committees including Standing Committee on Emissions and CMVR-TSC.

Standards & Regulation

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), PESO, and the Department of Legal Metrology play a vital role in supporting safety standards and India’s LPG sector.

Industry Chambers

Active engagement with CII, FICCI, PHDCCI, and ASSOCHAM to support policy advocacy, sectoral growth, and industry collaboration initiatives.

Policy & Technical Committees

Representation in key technical and advisory committees that contribute to policy development, regulatory dialogue, and industry advancement.

Global Engagement

Strong and continuous association with the global LPG community.

World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA)

Longstanding association and active participation in global forums.

Major Global Events Hosted

Proud to host WLPGA Regional Summit, WINLPG and World LPG Week 2022 in India after a gap of over two decades.

Voice in Parliament

Our work and contributions have been acknowledged in the Parliament of India.
